Adele Clarke Principal & Owner
AMC School of Dance is founded and led by Adele, an award-winning dance teacher with over 20 years’ experience and a passion for helping people grow through dance.
Founded in 2011, AMC delivers over 40 classes each week to hundreds of children and adults, from early years through to older adults. Adele’s approach focuses on creating a kind, inclusive environment where dancers develop strong technique and confidence, alongside important skills for life such as resilience, teamwork and self-belief.
Adele began dancing at the age of three and trained for 15 years at The Bannister Academy of Dance. She remains hands-on across the school, leading Tots, Adult Ballet, Adult Modern & Jazz, and selected Adult Tap classes, while supporting teaching across the wider School of Dance.
Alongside studio classes, Adele leads AMC’s in-school and nursery provision, community workshops, and dementia-friendly and seated dance sessions, including intergenerational projects. She is passionate about non-exam-based dance education and mentoring young dancers through AMC’s Student Helper and Junior Instructor programmes.
Adele is a BBO qualified dance teacher, certified PBT instructor, Dementia Friend, Designated Safeguarding Lead, first aid trained, and holds enhanced DBS clearance. In 2020, she was named National Leader of the Year at the Club Hub Awards.
Above all, Adele believes dance should be positive, supportive and joyful, ensuring every dancer feels safe, encouraged and proud of their progress.

Emma Bennion Administrator

We're incredibly passionate at AMC about giving the opportunity for as many of our Seniors as possible to volunteer in our younger classes as Student Helpers. With a carefully crafted mentorship program, we help them build their leadership skills and learn what it takes to be a great teacher. The Student Helpers attend training sessions and are given opportunity to input, support and at times, take the lead within our younger classes, all under the guidance of our experienced Dance Instructors. What a joy it is for us to be able to help our young leaders develop their skills to help them in later life - whatever direction they choose to use them in. It's also wonderful for our younger dancers to have these role models in classes to raise their aspirations. We're delighted to be currently mentoring 10 AMC Seniors as Student Helpers across our classes.
