Senior Medal and Awards Day
Sunday 28th June 2026

Click here for running order (updated 2/6/26)

Hello,

Thank you so much for signing up to dance at our Seniors Medals and Awards day on Sunday 28th June at The Deep End at Rawlins Quorn.

There will be an incredible 42 performances throughout the day (running between 12.30pm and 4pm). So we're doing our very best to make sure the day is planned well and runs super smoothly so that each and every one of our dancers has the most wonderful confidence-building experience.

HOW IT WORKS

The day is split into Sections.

Dancers within each section must be present for the ENTIRE section, arriving 15minutes before the section start time.  Dancers sit in order and each perform their routine watched encouragingly by our guest instructors.  After all the dancers within the section have performed, they line up and receive comments and their award from the guest instructors. After this has completed, you can go home or quickly get ready for your next section in the changing rooms.

Dancers and Audience members are not to come and go during the section as this is very distracting to our dancers.  If you do need to leave or reenter for the toilet or those needing to change for a 2nd dance within the same section please exit and enter BETWEEN performances.  Please note the Small Deep End studio will NOT be available for changing or rehearsing as our Inter and Preinter classes are also running that day.  You will therefore need to change and stretch in the changing rooms.

PROMPTING

As Seniors, we expect you to know your routines and so will not be standing by to prompt (other than a very subtle gesture to help jog your memory if you freeze), by putting yourself forward for this opportunity you should be prepared to thoroughly practice and take responsibility for knowing the routines.  There are practice videos of all routines available.  We feel confident you will all be brilliant, but if you do have any worries at all please speak to us.

THE RUNNING ORDER

Please find attached the full running order.  As you can appreciate, these things are tricky to put together to ensure the right teachers will be in attendance to observe and dancers doing multiple awards have sufficient time to change and stretch.  I've also tried to mix it up a little so we don't have the same song 15 consecutive times!  Sadly no amendments can be made at this stage (unless I've made an error).

WHAT TO WEAR

These performances should be costumed and not in AMC uniform (so that it feels like a proper performance).  As this is a solo performance, there's a flexibility in what you can wear.  However, you should always wear the correct dance shoes, have all hair very neatly styled and tied back and choose an outfit that is appropriate, safe to dance in and we can properly see your dance steps and arms.  If you are unsure, please speak to your teacher.  Jewellery should not be worn (other than very small studs).

WHEN TO GET THERE AND WHERE TO GO

Please arrive 15minutes before the start of your section.  If the previous section is still going on - please wait in the corridor. We'll let you in asap to the performance room.

WHO TO BRING

You are welcome to bring as many family and friends to watch as you like.  This event is not ticketed.

FILMING AND PHOTOGRAPHY

As the majority of performances are solo, you are welcome to film and photograph your child's performance.
