A bit about our raffle!

All proceeds from raffle ticket sales and competitions will be split evenly between Dementia UK and Lonsdale Mews Care Home Activity Fund.

Over the last few years we've formed a wonderful relationship with the residents at Lonsdale Mews Care Home in Quorn.  Our Senior pupils have visited to perform ballet en pointe for the residents, Adele and Sarah have given a special tap and charleston event, our pupils have performed at their summer fete, we've taken our Tots in on multiple occasions for wonderful intergenerational music and movement sessions, and over the last 6 months Adele has become their Dementia suites' dance, music and movement leader - visiting every 2 weeks to provide chair based dance classes to memory evoking music.

Getting to know the brilliant residents and incredible staff has been more wonderful than Adele can put into words.  They've encouraged her to spread dancing joy across more care homes and always gives us all the warmest of welcomes.  Adele has learnt so much from the staff and residents about the challenges Dementia presents to those who suffer from it and their families, and so we have chosen to give half of the raffle proceeds to Dementia UK.

With the other half of the money, we are donating it directly to Lonsdale Mews.  Residents are going on a day out with the money over Easter to a garden centre and will purchase flowers and plants for their garden refurb.  So of our pupils will then join them for a planting and gardening session.

If you have any raffle prize donations, please can you bring them to the Dress Rehearsal.  We will have a table in the dining room for your donations.

A selection of the prizes will be available at each show.  Raffle tickets are £1 a strip.

​

We also have a 'Guess the number of eggs in the jar' competition, and a special find the Golden Ticket competition where you can win a 1to1 dance class with Adele or the chance to be a 'dance teacher for the day' within one of your dance classes.
